I am Seeking a Professional Photographer to Share My Photo Studio in Jerome, AZ
My business partner, photographer, is moving on November 1st. I am looking for another photographer to share my studio.
If you are not familiar with Red Bench Studio, check out the short video I made for you. Since I’m not in the studio most of the time, it’s a perfect space for a part-time photographer, or a full-time photographer wanting an additional type of photo studio to work in.
The arrangement I had with my former business partner was like this: we split the time and the rent. I provided the liability insurance, and everything else you see in the video. He provided the lighting equipment and stereo system. I added him to the studio calendar (google calendar app) and we scheduled our time that way, no overlapping of appointments. It worked out perfectly.
The studio is in use for art classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 am - 2 pm, some Saturdays for photo workshops from 9 am - 2 pm, and art & music shows on first Saturdays each month from 4 - 9 pm. There is an artist who rents time in the studio on Wednesdays from 10 am - 12 pm. The rest of the days/times it is available for a business partner. (In the event that a photographer books the studio for their private shoot, or I book the studio, it will show up on the calendar. Best bet is to block out chunks of time on the calendar for yourself, even if you are unsure you'll be there. Texting is the quickest and easiest way to communicate with me.)
The studio is 525 square feet, with a 12-15 foot high ceiling, old hardwood floor, a wall of huge windows facing North (no direct sunlight), and 2 large blackboards on two walls. We are on the top floor of Building A, which gives us privacy from the street and unblocked views of the valley. There is an art sink, mini-fridge, and microwave. Air conditioning and heat, restroom next door. Desk and chair available for you to use. Plus there’s plenty of photo props, changing area in the corner with partitions and clothing rack, loveseat, chairs, stools, and a variety of things in our storage room downstairs.
It is a quick drive from anywhere in the Verde Valley, including Sedona. Photographers from the Phoenix area do rent the studio for their private shoots. This is an excellent value and an amazing opportunity for you, even if you are not located in Northern Arizona. Just an hour and a half drive from the valley, spending one day per week shooting in the studio is well worth it.
When photographers book the studio for their private sessions, the studio rental fees for them are as follows:
Share my studio with me and get a HUGE savings!
I’m looking for someone dependable and reliable, who would like to use the studio 1/2 of the time for $250 per month (utilities are included, there is no WiFi), with at least a 6 month commitment. Payments are due on the first of each month, no security deposit required. Even if you were to use the studio just once a week, you will be saving $1,050 compared to what other photographers pay.
I’ve had the studio for three years, and the creation of photo-artistry that has come out of this special space is quite remarkable. I am passionate about photography and the arts, and seeking a like-minded business partner.
